My final evaluation question is set out in a powerpoint format, i decided that this would be an easier way of showing my knowledge of the technologies that i chose to use.

Examples From First Digi Pack
This was one of the first inside covers that we tried, using the background from a photo that I took, unfortunately it did not match the feel that was given from the first edition of the front covers. The dark background used on the front covers changed the mood when looking at the inside covers. To change this we had to consider whether or not we wanted to keep the black and white theme through out, or if we should change the front and back covers to give a completely different feel to them. In the end we decided that changing the front covers would be a lot of hassle considering that they matched very well together, and linked to the poster, so to prevent from changing them we considered having a black background on the inside covers to keep the theme running through out the digi pack. Changing the background of the insider covers meant that we would also have to change the colour of the text, changing it to white.
Another reason for changing the background was that, even though it matched to the video, the front covers gave an urban, jazz club styled feel and then turning to the inside covers it was more of a rural, outdoors, country feel. Again from our research using the image of the Eiffel Tower changed the mood again, and it did not fit at all! Using the simplicity of bit of dimmed colour within the digi pack inside cover 1 it was able to link better with the other covers.

Planning - Inside Covers
Through out looking at the different styles of inside covers we found that Michael Buble uses simple inside covers, but also does not use the narrative from the videos/songs, which made it difficult for us to consider what to have inside them. After researching what the outside of the covers looked like and whether or not to follow that style we decided that we would not conform to the style of the inside covers but instead we chose to use stills from the video to edit and figure out whether or not they fit.

Planning - Inside The Digipack
Through out the design of the digipack i feel that we have a recurring theme, as we are taking ideas from both Micahel Buble covers but also Frank Sinetra - the use of a completely different background. As the song we chose to do for our music video was all about love, why not have a background that resembles that perfectly - such as paris. By using the Eiffel Tower we are able to use the same theme through out, using the picture at different times of day, showing the change that happened within the music video narrative. We have decided that we will use the Narrative on the inside covers, to write the lyrics of the song on, this means that we would be able to use the shot of when they are walking across the green or when they are standing together looking at each other, blended with the Eiffel Tower but a picture of it during the day. This shows the contrast with the front cover of our actor with the Eiffel Tower next to him when it is lit up during the night.

Planning - Poster Designs
Michael Buble's posters and cd covers have all had similarities between them, especially with the style that he uses - suits, coloured titles and black/white backgrounds. He uses an old fashioned, dated style on his work, this brings a comparison of other jazz singers such as Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, both of their art work includes a photos of themselves with a plain background and bright text. Frank Sinatra is a main competitor of jazz music, and also one of Michael Buble's idols he found his work 'moving and fascinating' which is quite interesting when comparing their album covers. Both of them are always seen in a suit and use black and white contrasts, which enhances the title of the album. From researching both of their albums i am going to take away from it the black and white image selections as i find it fits with the style that i want to convey, as well as the positioning of the image - either found at the sides or centre, showing importance but also living enough space for information that may be needed; such as a title.

Research - Different Audiences
Other than Michael buble i have decided to look at a range of different bands/artists to see how they contact their fans and keep them interested, whether there is any pattern occurring in a different genre such as rock/metal.
Metal
Metal music can be seen in a range of different ways and described differently depending on what band they are researching, to look into this genre i have picked a band that i feel has a large following, especially an audience who enjoy festival atmosphere, after seeing 'System of a Down' at Download festival i was able to see that they reach out to a wider audience other than just metal fans. To reach out to different audiences they use sites such as:
Facebook
Myspace
Twitter
All of these sites have a huge range of different audiences, and people using them for specific reasons - due to the sites being a social networking sites people can recommend pages to friends and talk about different topics; this is how verbal advertising of the band can begin between the audiences.
Classical
Classical music has been around for centuries, but the range of audiences' that it reaches out to are limited, a large classical music composer would be 'Johann Sebastian Bach' who is one of the most famous of the classical music period. One song that I looked into not only of Bach but of classical composers as a whole is 'In D Minor' From looking at the statistics shown on Youtube, It is shown that the profiles that view this piece of music are mainly males aged 35-64, but the most popular age range was 45-54 mainly within the UK and USA. Unfortunately Youtube is not a majorly good quality of information of what age range what this type of music as the profiles can have different ages set on them, to show better quality research I have asked 40 people of all different ages what their favour type of music is to find out what type of music is most popular within the group of people that I asked.
Another interesting set of figures that i found was how the people are viewing this specific piece of music. It has been seen that the results date from 30th of november 2007 onwards of how many views of this video are being processed. Below is a the figure that I found for this piece of music.
When asking my audience what their favourite type of music would be I chose the different genres of music that they could choose from, the types that I chose to ask were;
Rock
Classical
Country
House/TechnoTrance
Jazz/Blues
From my results there was a clear state that there is a range of different audiences out there and not just one target audience, all music genres have a target audience but a lot of them do overlap! Below is the information that i gained from my survey.

Filming - Performance
Finally we have finished filming our music video, all of the footage that we have is being uploaded to our editing suite, and after all of the problems that we have encountered we have officially filmed all footage that is needed. After having problems with contacting our actor for the performance we found a replacement within the first day back from the holidays, our main problem with our original actor was that they were not able to get to the venue and also that he was not available at the times that we needed him. Due to this we found a friend of ours, Tom who was interested in helping with the footage that was needed, and it worked well with the genre of music that we are doing. The original venue that we were using for the filming, 'The Pit' worked well with the atmosphere that we wanted to create, the effects that we were able to create with the lighting deck - soft lighting and fade up/down to give the desired effect of passionate but light hearted. From using the tripod on the top of the balcony near to lighting board I was able to change the lights while recording the performance from a high angle shot which was mainly focusing on his face and body movement. Once the performance has finished uploading the footage that was shot on both of the cameras we will begin placing it in place with the narrative, and upload screenshots of the range of different ways that we were able to film the piece. Overall all we filmed the whole song 6 times.
